New Flavors Debut as Tiffins Restaurant Marks 10 Years at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Located inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Tiffins Restaurant is celebrating 10 years of globally inspired cuisine and a dining experience shaped by real-world travel. Many guests consider this location their favorite at Walt Disney World due to the exceptional meal and immersive Disney Imagineering details that evoke the spirit of the park’s research trips.

Nestled in Discovery Island, Tiffins Restaurant is just a short walk from the park entrance near the Tree of Life and before the bridge to Pandora – The World of Avatar. Adjacent to the restaurant is Nomad Lounge, a great spot for a light bite or specialty cocktail, also celebrating its 10th anniversary with new flavors.

Inspired by travel and adventure, Tiffins Restaurant welcomes guests with a large, intricately detailed map that sets the immersive atmosphere celebrating global journeys. The restaurant deeply appreciates the natural world through bold artwork created from sketches, journals, and research collected by Disney Imagineers during their travels.

Tiffins Restaurant includes many Disney Imagineering details throughout its spaces, including paintings, photo collages, sculptures, and animal portraits inspired by field notes and sketches from research trips to Africa, Asia, and South America. One notable piece honors Disney Imagineer Joan Hartwig, a key contributor to Animal Kingdom.

Appetizers include Korean Barbecue Pork Belly Bao Buns with melt-in-your-mouth pork and fresh slaw, and the vegetarian Gobi Manchurian with crispy fried cauliflower in a tangy, sweet sauce. Main courses feature the Regional Curry Tasting served in a tiffin that reveals three South Asian curries in the shape of a hidden Mickey, comforting Shrimp & Grits with peri peri shrimp and goat cheese, flavorful Oaxacan Pork Duo with grilled pork chop and smoked pork shoulder, and rich Butter Chicken accompanied by a samosa.

Wine selections at Tiffins Restaurant pay tribute to regions visited by Imagineers, with the Raats Original Unoaked Chenin Blanc being a recommended complement for dishes like Shrimp & Grits.

Desserts include a velvety Caramel Flan paired with vanilla Chantilly and a rich African Pot De Crème infused with Ethiopian coffee and pineapple, topped with pistachio and a chocolate cookie.

Reservations are highly recommended for Tiffins Restaurant and can be made 60 days in advance via the My Disney Experience app. Scheduling a mid-day meal provides a relaxing break or a perfect ending to a day of park exploration.

Nomad Lounge, the adjoining lounge also celebrating 10 years, offers a refreshed menu featuring shareable small plates such as a charcuterie and cheese board, crispy chicken wings, Traveller’s Provisions with warm onion naan and assorted dips, wild mushroom dumplings, churros, grilled beef kefta, and sticky pork ribs.

Beverage offerings at Nomad Lounge include specialty drinks like the crisp and refreshing Lychee-Ginger Lemonade and The Pachyderm and The Pollinator cocktail with Bayab African Rose Gin, honey, lemon, lavender bitters, and soda water.
