Halloween and Fall Celebrations at Disneyland Resort 2026

Disneyland Resort welcomes guests to enjoy Halloween Time from August 21 through October 31, 2026, featuring new character outfits, festive décor, and favorite seasonal entertainment. Additional limited-time shows include “Paint the Night” parade and “Wondrous Journeys” in Disneyland park, and “World of Color – ONE” in Disney California Adventure starting August 10.

In Disneyland Park, Mickey, Minnie, and friends will don new harlequin-inspired Halloween outfits. The Haunted Mansion transforms into Haunted Mansion Holiday with Jack Skellington and other Nightmare Before Christmas characters, featuring an all-new gingerbread house design. Visitors can snap photos by the Halloween Tree in Frontierland or marvel at the Disney-themed pumpkin carvings at the Main Street Pumpkin Festival.

The “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular takes over Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street U.S.A., and Rivers of America with colorful projections, villains like Maleficent and Ursula, and fireworks on select nights. Guests can experience Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour for an additional fee, indulging in eerie stories across Disneyland and California Adventure.

At Disney California Adventure, Halloween decorations feature Oogie Boogie, bats at Carthay Circle, and the Headless Horseman on Buena Vista Street. Cars Land transforms into Radiator Screams with themed decorations and characters in costumes. Guests can enjoy special Halloween overlays on rides like Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Younger guests will enjoy “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land starting August 18, featuring music, bubbles, and character interactions. Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark offers a spooky evening adventure in Avengers Campus.

Seasonal treats return including the Oogie Boogie Lemonade from Smokejumpers Grill and Heatwave Pizza at Alien Pizza Planet, with a full Disney Eats Foodie Guide coming closer to the season. Guests can expect an array of pumpkin-flavored and Halloween-themed food and beverage offerings throughout the resort.

The fall season is also marked by Halloween and autumn-themed merchandise including hockey jerseys featuring festive Mickey pumpkins, fun ear headbands, and other playful or spooky apparel and novelties available resort-wide.

All Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will feature festive Halloween décor, with Pixar Place Hotel showcasing Monsters, Inc.-inspired designs and Disneyland Hotel highlighting Haunted Mansion touches. The Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel culinary teams will create impressive confection displays.

Special seasonal character dining experiences include Mickey’s Autumn Adventures and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner at Storytellers Cafe, and Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween dining options at Disneyland Hotel. Adults can enjoy Halloween-themed cocktails at the Broken Spell Lounge.

Guests seeking a seasonal makeover can book hair, makeup, or nail treatments inspired by Disney characters at Tenaya Stone Spa, including a Wicked to the Core foot treatment.

The Downtown Disney District will be filled with autumn decorations, themed dining, and seasonal shopping. Movie nights and live musical performances will take place on select evenings at the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage.

Families can enjoy Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, searching for uniquely designed pumpkins located throughout Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. A special activity map, available for purchase, includes a keepsake prize upon completion. Separate park admission is required.

Plaza de la Familia returns to Disney California Adventure from August 21 to November 2, celebrating family and Día de los Muertos with elements inspired by Pixar’s Coco. Guests can enjoy live mariachi music, a memory wall for remembrances, vibrant marigolds, and calaca statues.

Paradise Garden Grill offers specialty Mexican-flavored dishes such as Chilaquiles Carnitas Torta during the celebration. Merchandise inspired by Coco will be available, including hoodies, T-shirts, and mugs featuring vivid colors and motifs from the film.

Día de los Muertos décor will also be featured in Disneyland near Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, including ornamental skeleton figures, marigolds, and traditional ofrenda items.

The separately ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party returns select nights from August 18 to October 31, 2026. This after-hours event encourages guests of all ages to wear costumes, collect candy, enjoy special attractions, and access California Adventure ahead of the party start.

Oogie Boogie Bash admission includes unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads. The party features immersive treat trails, trick-or-treating, themed bites, and the new street party “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake,” inspired by the Haunted Mansion.

Guests might encounter rare Disney villains and characters dressed for Halloween throughout California Adventure. Villains Grove offers a magical, immersive experience inspired by Disney villains, and the Headless Horseman rides through the park on select evenings.

Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on sale June 18, 2026, with pre-sale opportunities for Inspire and all Magic Key Holders. The special D23 Members-only party night is scheduled for September 27, 2026.

Special deals on theme park tickets and hotel stays will be available for visits in August and early September, including a Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer valid through September 7, 2026, allowing children ages 3 to 9 to visit Disneyland Resort for $50 with certain ticket options.

Additionally, select hotel stays have discounts up to 15% off Sunday through Thursday nights through early September 2026. Ten days in September feature the lowest priced 1-Day, 1-Park tickets at $104 for guests 10 and older.

To enter a park, guests must have both a valid ticket and a park reservation for the same day. Reservations are limited and subject to availability. Events, entertainment, and offerings are subject to change.
