Beginning April 29, 2026, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland park will expand its timeline to include more Star Wars eras. Darth Vader, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker will arrive on Batuu, joining other beloved characters roaming the Outer Rim. Rey and the Resistance will continue their fight against the First Order in the Resistance Camp. Musical selections from John Williams’ Star Wars film scores will be played throughout the land.

Guests will be able to immerse themselves in different points of the Star Wars saga inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge like never before, with characters and storylines spanning the Galactic Civil War, New Republic, the Age of the Resistance, and First Order eras.

Darth Vader will be searching for Luke Skywalker on Batuu, accompanied by Imperial Stormtroopers searching the outpost. Leia and Han will be reunited with Luke and Chewbacca among the rocky spires. Luke will seek knowledge of the Force, lightsaber building, kyber crystals, and more, while Leia may be seen recruiting travelers near the Millennium Falcon.

Guests will continue to encounter iconic heroes and villains such as Ahsoka Tano, The Mandalorian, Grogu, and R2-D2 near the marketplace. Rey will remain in the forested area on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost representing the Age of the Resistance. Visitors might join the Resistance and engage in battles against the First Order aboard Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

New musical scores by John Williams from the first six Star Wars films will be featured throughout the land, including the “Main Title,” “Force Theme,” “Han Solo and the Princess,” “The Desert and the Robot Auction,” and “The Emperor.” The lively “Cantina Band” tune will continue within Oga’s Cantina, a popular spot for intergalactic travelers.

Local establishments will see updates to reflect the land’s expanded timeline. First Order Cargo will transform into Black Spire Surplus, a military salvage shop featuring artifacts from the Galactic Civil War. Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities will showcase a new array of rare items, while the Droid Depot will be run by an earlier generation of the Mubo family prototyping BB-style droids. Luke Skywalker will seek out Savi’s lightsaber shop, where guests can still build their own lightsabers.

Favorites like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and classic food items such as blue milk and ronto wraps will remain available as visitors enjoy the enriched stories of Batuu. Nighttime brings projected shows like “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga,” illuminating the spires of Batuu with legendary Star Wars stories. Select evenings feature “Fire of the Rising Moons,” combining fireworks with iconic Star Wars music and tales across the galaxy.

These updates celebrate Star Wars stories and characters beloved by fans, welcoming travelers to experience an even richer and more immersive timeline at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge. Some enhancements will appear in the land in the months leading up to the official debut on April 29, 2026.
