D23 Day at Disneyland Resort 2026: Event Details & Highlights

D23 Day at Disneyland Resort returns on August 13, 2026, offering Disney fans a day filled with imagination, storytelling, and celebration at The Happiest Place on Earth. This event kicks off fan festivities before D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which begins the following day in Anaheim.
All guests with valid theme park admission and reservation are welcome to join, including members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club and attendees of the D23 Event 2026. Additionally, Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party starts on August 13 with a special one-day event at Disney California Adventure, followed by activities from August 14–16 in the Downtown Disney District.
On D23 Day, eligible guests will receive complimentary Mickey Mouse ear hats featuring the D23 Day at Disneyland Resort logo and commemorative guides at park entrances, available while supplies last. At 1:30 p.m., guests can watch the Disney Legends Cavalcade parade down Main Street, U.S.A., featuring 23 classic characters and special Disney Legends honored for their impactful legacies.
D23 Day entertainment includes multiple dance parties and rare character appearances, such as Merlin from The Sword and the Stone and Blue Fairy from Pinocchio in Fantasyland. Tomorrowland Terrace offers activities from afternoon through night, featuring "Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Bash" for families and a "Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Dance Party" in the evening.
Photo opportunities abound with multiple D23 Day icon photo locations at Town Square in Disneyland, Pixar Pier in California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. Photo booths will offer D23 Day-themed photo strips for purchase at Hollywood Backlot and Fantasyland Theater.
All guests with valid admission and reservations on August 13 can enjoy complimentary unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken that day, including special Magic Shots.
In the Disneyland Resort hotels, special events await including immersive entertainment and photo opportunities inspired by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings at Disneyland Hotel’s Rose Court Garden. Throughout August, the hotel will also feature a photo opportunity themed around the upcoming film Camp Rock 3.
Exclusive merchandise launches August 13 at Emporium, Elias & Co., World of Disney, and The D-Lander Shop. The D23 Day Logo Collection offers colorful apparel and memorabilia. The Disneylandia Collection, a collaboration with the Latina-owned brand Viva La Bonita, celebrates culture and dreams inspired by Disneyland.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame 30th Anniversary collection includes a Spirit Jersey, ear headband, trading pin, mug, and more, available at select Disneyland locations and the D23 Marketplace. To honor 75 years of Alice in Wonderland, a pastel apparel and accessories collection inspired by croquet is also available.
New collectible D23 Day Medallions with four unique designs are available exclusively at Candy Palace, Kingswell Shop, and near Star Wars Trading Post at Downtown Disney, while supplies last.
Guests can purchase the Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket starting August 13 at multiple locations around Disneyland and California Adventure. Also debuting is the Sorcerer Apprentice Mickey Cake Pop, available for a limited time at select candy locations.
A highlight of the day is the live performance of “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration” at Paradise Gardens Park in California Adventure. Featuring the largest gathering of Disney Princess talent, the concert includes dazzling lights, projections, and fountains. Attendance requires a virtual queue enrollment starting at 12:00 p.m. PST and wristband pickup procedures.
Fans can stream the concert on Disney+ and watch on Disney Channel, Freeform, and ABC’s The Wonderful World of Disney on August 16.
From August 1 to 16, Downtown Disney District offers special discounts and exclusive offerings for guests presenting a D23 Event badge or D23 Gold Membership Card at select dining, shopping, and entertainment locations.
