Walt Disney World welcomes families seeking summer fun with new experiences, refreshed attractions, and special offers from May 26 to September 8, 2026, during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. Longer park hours and one of the best ticket pricing seasons make it the perfect time for an unforgettable Disney vacation.

Cool KIDS’ SUMMER Fun for the Whole Family

This summer highlights exciting new events and character interactions for families with children. Bluey and Bingo join Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 26 at Conservation Station with interactive games and photo opportunities. At Magic Kingdom, Jessie’s Roundup invites young guests to enjoy songs and games with Toy Story characters at the Diamond Horseshoe.

At EPCOT, guests can join in the GoofyCore dance party with Goofy and friends playing silly games like Balloon Bonanza and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks at CommuniCore Hall. Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! arrives at Hollywood Studios May 26, inviting families to find Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto with new original songs and interactive fun.

Dance parties at Disney Springs Marketplace on select nights celebrate new Disney+ movies, featuring music from Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3. Water Parks also become extra special with Goofy appearing at Blizzard Beach and Stitch at Typhoon Lagoon. Additionally, Disney H2O Glow After Hours offers nighttime water park fun with rare characters from June 2 to September 5.

Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels enjoy a 30-minute early theme park entry daily, featuring special character appearances across all four parks. Select resorts offer added family amenities including infant equipment, Disney Publishing libraries, pool parties, and evening campfires with sing-alongs and marshmallow roasting.

Even More Excitement This Summer at Disney World

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopens at Magic Kingdom on April 8 refreshed with new interactive targets and a support bot named Buddy assisting guests during their mission to defeat Emperor Zurg. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will also reopen in early May after a full refurbishment.

At Hollywood Studios starting May 22, guests can embark on a new mission with The Mandalorian and Grogu aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. New gameplay features include choosing destinations and communicating with Grogu during the adventure.

May 26 will also mark the opening of “The Walt Disney Studios” courtyard with playful experiences at Hollywood Studios. The Magic of Disney Animation will debut late summer featuring a playground, Disney character meet-and-greets, and animation drawing classes guided by pre-recorded instructions from Disney artists.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets will offer a reimagined thrilling ride at Hollywood Studios featuring music from The Electric Mayhem band and fun antics of The Muppets throughout the summer.

EPCOT welcomes Soarin’ Across America on May 26 with a new journey celebrating the United States’ 250th anniversary. The attraction showcases natural landscapes and cityscapes like the Grand Canyon, set to an updated orchestral rendition of the classic theme.

Ways to Save this Summer at Disney World

Guests can enjoy a free dining plan for families purchasing a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company package including select Disney Resort hotels and Park Hopper tickets. This offer applies for arrivals between June 28 and October 3, October 19-31, and December 6-21, 2026, with bookings required by April 30.

The 4-day, 4-Park Magic ticket valid from May 26 to October 3 offers daily access to one park per day, starting at $109 plus tax per day. Guests staying five nights or more at select Disney Resorts can save up to 30%, with Florida Residents and Annual Passholders saving up to 35% and 40%, respectively, for stays of four nights or more from July 30 to October 3.

Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels from May 26 through September 8, 2026, can visit one of the Disney water parks for free on their check-in day. Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open during this period, providing extra opportunities to enjoy water fun and character meet-and-greets.
