Starting April 29, 2026, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland will expand its timeline to incorporate multiple eras of the Star Wars saga. Beloved characters including Darth Vader, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker will arrive on Batuu, joining others roaming the Outer Rim outpost. Rey and the Resistance will continue their fight against the First Order in the Resistance Camp. Musical themes from John Williams' iconic Star Wars film scores will fill the land.

Batuu’s storylines will now span several historical periods, allowing guests to experience the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic era, the Age of the Resistance, and the First Order’s rise. Black Spire Outpost will roll back decades in time with new props, graphics, and characters carefully integrated to create an immersive experience, weaving together narratives from across time and space.

Where You’ll Find Iconic Star Wars Saga Characters

Darth Vader will search for Luke Skywalker throughout Batuu accompanied by Imperial Stormtroopers, while Leia Organa and Han Solo reunite with Luke and Chewbacca near the rocky spires. Luke will seek knowledge about the Force and lightsaber construction, Leia will be near the Millennium Falcon recruiting support, and Han Solo will be found around his ship, tempted by the local cantina.

Guests can also encounter Ahsoka Tano, The Mandalorian, and Grogu near the marketplace. The beloved droid R2-D2 will continue roaming the land, accompanying guests on their adventures.

The forested Resistance camp on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost continues to be the base for Rey and the Resistance’s fight against the First Order, where guests may join a climactic battle aboard Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Experience John Williams’ Music Throughout the Land

Visitors will be immersed in the world of Star Wars with a new musical backdrop. Iconic scores by John Williams from the first six films will play throughout Batuu. Signature tracks like the “Main Title,” “Force Theme,” “Han Solo and the Princess,” “The Desert and the Robot Auction,” and “The Emperor” will be heard along with the lively “Cantina Band” theme inside Oga’s Cantina.

Enhancements to Local Establishments and Shops

As Batuu’s history expands, some buildings and shops will receive updates. First Order Cargo will become Black Spire Surplus, a military salvage operation offering relics from multiple eras. Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities will refresh its unique collection of artifacts, and an earlier generation of the Mubo family will operate Droid Depot, prototyping the BB-style droid. Luke Skywalker will seek guidance from Savi while guests continue to craft lightsabers with the Gatherers.

Experience Favorite Attractions, Entertainment, and Food

Guests can continue to enjoy favorites such as Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and signature treats like blue milk and Ronto wraps. The spires of Batuu transform nightly as the projection show “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” and “Fire of the Rising Moons,” a fireworks display paired with galaxy-themed music and stories, create unforgettable experiences on select evenings.

These updates will begin appearing gradually over the coming months before officially launching on April 29, 2026. Guests visiting Galaxy’s Edge will enjoy a richer, deeper glimpse into the Star Wars saga with these thoughtfully crafted expansions.
