New Disney Vacation Club Lounge Opens at Magic Kingdom Park

Eligible Disney Vacation Club members can now enjoy McKim’s Mile House – a new member lounge in Magic Kingdom Park’s Frontierland where they can relax and recharge during their day in the parks.

Named for Disney Legend and original Frontierland concept artist Sam McKim, the lounge draws inspiration from historic American West mile houses, which were early versions of hotels offering travelers a place to rest and relax.

The lounge operates under the story of a fictional McKim family of hospitality pioneers. Visitors can notice stairs that appear to lead to boarding rooms occupied by famous Frontierland figures such as Big Thunder Mining Company founder Barnabas T. Bullion and Disney Legend Marc Davis.

Though members cannot access the lounge's second floor, they can admire the detailed Imagineering elements and even discover original artwork by Sam McKim from the comfort of the seating area.

Known as 'The Frontier’s Best Kept Secret,' the lounge offers comfortable sofas and chairs where guests can rest their feet, sip complimentary soft drinks, and enjoy amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and phone charging stations.

Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST and is available for eligible Disney Vacation Club members with valid Magic Kingdom Park tickets and reservations.

In addition to McKim’s Mile House in Florida, eligible members can access several other lounges including the Top of the World Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the ImaginAtrium Lounge at EPCOT, and the Star View Station in Disneyland Park California.

Membership Extras require members to have an ownership interest with 150 Vacation Points or more purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, LLC, and valid theme park admission. Lounges are subject to operating hours and capacity limits.
