Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has always combined timeless elegance with Disney storytelling, and its recent lobby refurbishment continues that tradition with a fresh chapter of charm and magic.

Guests have noticed the welcoming updates to the lobby over the last several months. The transformation is nearly complete, showcasing a refined design inspired by Victorian-era grandeur to blend classic charm with modern comfort.

The updated lobby features warm light filtering through stained-glass skylights, detailed woodwork, and sparkling chandeliers. Newly designed furnishings invite relaxation with vintage-inspired seating and grand pier mirrors that showcase the resort’s iconic logo.

Grand Floridian Lobby Bar: The Perch Opens in November

Starting November 10, guests can enjoy a new bar experience at The Perch in the Grand Floridian lobby. The all-new bar highlights the resort’s Victorian roots with intricate woodwork, elegant herringbone tile, and shimmering custom stained glass.

The Perch offers champagne, wine, beer, and signature cocktails like the Sunshine State Rum Sazerac and the Floridian 75. Non-alcoholic options include the Blueberry and Basil Iced Tea, a refreshing blend of lemon, blueberry, and basil tea.

Throughout the atrium, decorative feathered friends appear in the stained glass, murals, and wallpaper, adding whimsical touches to the Victorian-inspired setting.

Victorian Charm Meets Disney Magic

Above the grand staircase, a new impressionist-style mural portrays the Grand Floridian as it might have appeared at the turn of the century, framed by royal and sabal palms, Florida’s state tree.

The new atrium carpet is inspired by the Victorian 'Language of Flowers' and celebrates hospitality, joy, and grace with florals native to Florida’s subtropical landscape. The design includes special nods like the orange blossom, palms, moonstones, and Hidden Mickeys among over 200 blossoms.

The Garden View Lounge Returns in 2026

In early 2026, The Garden View Lounge will reopen with a refreshed look that complements the new lobby design. It will offer a new Disney-themed tea experience for guests of all ages with whimsical touches.

Updates to the Grand Floridian Convention Center

The Grand Floridian Convention Center has been refreshed with the same refined design from the lobby and guest rooms, enhancing the experience for weddings, special events, and other occasions with a touch of Disney magic.
