Mickey Mouse-shaped Musubi Recipe from Ulu Cafe
This recipe serves 4 and features ingredients such as steamed sushi rice, SPAM, sugar, shoyu soy sauce, nori strips, and furikake seasoning.
To prepare, fill a 3 1/2 inch Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie cutter with cooked sushi rice and carefully remove the shaped rice onto a plate. Slice SPAM and cook it until browned. Then, make a shoyu-sugar sauce by combining sugar and soy sauce and reducing it until thickened. Cook SPAM in the sauce, drain, and layer on the shaped rice, wrapped with nori and garnished with furikake seasoning.
