Disney California Adventure Park, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Downtown Disney District celebrate their 25th anniversaries in 2026. Since opening in early 2001, these destinations have evolved to offer diverse attractions, dining, shopping, and entertainment, welcoming families from around the world.

To commemorate this milestone, limited-time experiences including a return of the fan-favorite Soarin’ Over California attraction, new Mickey and Minnie Mouse outfits, themed food and drink, exclusive merchandise, and special collectibles will be available. These experiences enhance the ongoing Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration.

Disney California Adventure park debuted on February 8, 2001, transforming a former parking lot into a vibrant theme park hosting iconic lands like Cars Land, Buena Vista Street, Pixar Pier, Avengers Campus, and San Fransokyo Square. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will wear new, sun-inspired colorful outfits on Buena Vista Street starting February 6, recalling the park’s golden beginnings.

Soarin’ Over California, one of the park’s original attractions, will return for a limited engagement from February 6 through July 1, 2026, featuring a breathtaking virtual tour of California landmarks set to dramatic music. The attraction will be replaced by the new Soarin’ Across America airborne adventure on July 2 in celebration of America's 250th anniversary.

From February 6-15, Schmoozies! offers a decadent 25th anniversary cake shake, featuring strawberry icing, sprinkles, whipped topping, and a slice of cake. Also debuting is the Pixar Pal-A-Round Bucket, a novelty popcorn bucket with embedded "Magic Inside" technology that reacts with colors and lighting to enhance the storytelling and nighttime shows at both Disneyland parks.

The Disney California Adventure 25th Anniversary Collection includes apparel and three collectible pins featuring stylized illustrations of park icons like the Carthay Circle tower, Pixar Pal-A-Round, and Grizzly Peak. Merchandise will be available starting February 6 at Elias & Co., Gone Hollywood, and Seaside Souvenirs while supplies last.

Guests entering California Adventure on February 8, 2026, may receive a complimentary commemorative map, available in limited quantities, to mark the special anniversary day.

Downtown Disney District opened on January 12, 2001, offering dining, shopping, and entertainment just steps from Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. To celebrate 25 years, a special anniversary tote and pin featuring the district’s new logo are available while supplies last at World of Disney.
