2025 Holiday Characters to Spot at Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort is dressed in twinkling lights and ornaments for the holiday season. Guests can enjoy meeting favorite Disney characters in their seasonal outfits throughout both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks, as well as at Disneyland Resort hotels.

Santa Claus will be visiting various locations around Disneyland Resort, including the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail — transformed into a festive playground — as well as Disneyland Hotel, Pixar Place Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa through December 24, 2025.

At Disney California Adventure, guests will see classic characters dressed in retro-inspired winter wear along Buena Vista Street, while Mater in Cars Land sports a giant Santa hat to celebrate the season.

Special entertainment at California Adventure includes “The Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special,” featuring Deadpool and occasional appearances by Wolverine near Avengers Campus, and “Mickey’s Happy Holidays,” a festive daily parade featuring Disney and Pixar characters.

The Disney Festival of Holidays returns with culinary delights, cultural performances, and character appearances including Mirabel and her friends from Encanto during 'Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season,' musical performances with Mariachi Alegría and Miguel from Coco, and the vibrant Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party featuring The Three Caballeros.

At Disneyland park, Mickey, Minnie, and friends wear newly designed holiday outfits inspired by their 70th Celebration attire. The beloved “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” returns for its 30th anniversary with characters like Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Anna, Elsa, Belle, and more.

The Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland hosts “Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends!” where guests can meet characters like Chip ‘n’ Dale, Goofy, and Pluto through December 24, 2025, along with animated shorts and sing-alongs.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch as well as Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast for holiday dining with character appearances. Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel also hosts festive breakfast, brunch, and dinner events with characters in merry attire from November 17, 2025 to January 6, 2026.

Schedules for character locations and shows can be checked on the Disneyland app, helping guests maximize their holiday experience. Park reservations and valid tickets are required for entry, and attractions or entertainment may be subject to change.
