Ahoy mateys! The Beak and Barrel officially opens to sailors of all ages on August 29, 2025. This Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern at Magic Kingdom Park invites swashbucklers and buccaneers from across the Seven Seas to enjoy seaworthy sips and snacks while immersed in pirate life.

Prepare for your adventure with a sneak peek into The Beak and Barrel’s many fantastical details. Drop anchor and get ready for an immersive pirate experience with multiple unique rooms and interactive elements.

The Mess

The first vibrant space is The Mess, once a mess hall for Spanish soldiers before being seized and repurposed by crafty pirates. Look up to see a ship’s bell rumored to be from Captain Redd’s first ship, gifted to Merry at the tavern’s founding, symbolizing camaraderie or rivalry.

Long tables provide gathering spots for pirates to share tales. A large anchor adorned with candles serves as a chandelier. Nearby, Mermaid Windows salvaged from a notorious pirate ship bear barnacles and mysteries. The far corner, known as The Brig, retains its bars though the door was pried off long ago, reminding guests to behave as the walls remember every mischief.

Cursed Bar

Anchor to The Mess is the striking skull-shaped Cursed Bar, home to a rare and prized collection of bottles kept under lock and key. This bar has been witness to countless pirate shanties and stories.

At the heart of the bar rests the Enchanted Rum Bottle, a magically gifted grog bottle that ensures the tavern's barrels and pirates' cheer never run dry while it remains full. Perched atop the bar is Rummy, a lively character who entertains guests with stories, jokes, and songs as he wobbles out from the hollow skull’s eye.

Captains’ Quarters

Step into the Captains’ Quarters for a glimpse of a finer pirate life. This was once the private residence of the Spanish Comandante, decorated with grand artwork and elegant drapery now marked by pirate blades and hot embers.

An elegant fireplace adds warmth, and miniature ships in glass bottles atop the mantel are known to come alive, engaging in fierce battles for those who dare watch.

Captains’ Booths

Four grand booths line the wall, crafted with detailed wooden panels that tell the stories of infamous pirates whose legends still sail the seas.

In a private sitting room beyond, pirates gather for their favorite games of skill and chance. Signs of past matches and warnings for cheats add a playful atmosphere.

Mapmaker’s Room

The Mapmaker’s Room is filled with rolled maps, parchment, spilled ink, and treasured secrets belonging to a possibly crazed pirate cartographer.

Pirates now gather around the central worktable once used by the Mapmaker, with a large painted map of the pirating world on an adjacent wall, hiding secrets to discover.

The Beak and Barrel offers so much to discover that every visit brings a new experience. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made through the My Disney Experience app or DisneyWorld.com.
